Brief description

In the paper the problem of the development of the theory of stability is considered on the basis of the concept of an open system proposed by L. von Bertalanffy. The review of works in the field of stability in technical systems is made. When analyzing feature of complicated systems’ sustainability, it is proposed to take into account the laws of the open system theory. The idea of using the laws that allow to estimate the degree of manifestation of entropic and negentropic tendencies in a system, the law emergence and the law of the additivity) is discussed. Proposed the quantitative estimates based on the information theory of A.A. Denisov. It is a definite contribution to the existing theory of sustainability.
