The article is dedicated to the application of methods and tools of game theory in the process of teaching students with the purpose of forming the competences of specialists. The main focus is on the tasks that are solved when introducing game elements in the study of fundamental disciplines in the formation of the student’s competencies. The article describes the methods and tools of gaming technology, implemented when teaching students of Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University.
