Digitalization as a way to increase the material utilization rate in mechanical engineering
Brief description
This work is devoted to the development of an algorithm that optimizes production planning at a discrete engineering enterprise. In the course of the work, the bottlenecks of the production process were analyzed. As part of the development of proposals to increase the resource intensity of production, existing approaches to optimizing production planning were considered. None of the existing approaches met all the functional requirements obtained as part of a series of interviews with company representatives. Based on the specifics of the company’s work and technological features of production, an algorithm was developed. The developed algorithm combines production programs from several sites and distributes parts to production according to the date of need and the working time fund of individual sites. This algorithm is implemented on the basis of the method of successive approximations, which makes it possible to complete production starting from the last months of the period. Thus, the production program is distributed with compaction for the nearest period, while maintaining a reserve of production capacity for urgent orders. The developed solution is implemented in the program code and tested on various production programs of the enterprise.
